My India, Our India!

Amitabh Bachchan, one the best actors in the world.
Sachin Tendulkar, inspiration for millions of people.
Lata Mangeshkar, the one with the golden voice.
APJ Abdul Kalam, one of the best leaders India ever had.
Rani Laxmi Bai, one the most powerful ladies who fought battles for her land.

Sarojini Naidu, an inspiration for all the women.
Bhagat Singh, a statue of sacrifice and dedication.
And hundreds of other examples of the most sacrificing, hard working, talented and kind hearted Indians our country gave us.

This land has done a huge number of favours that we can never payback.
The pain this land has borne for us is inconsolable. This mother earth has been robbed, cheated, played on, and yet it still is a home for everyone who did and didn't do it. It wanted revenge. No one understood. It sobbed blood and tears.
For two hundred years, this land bore unbearable pain.
Those years of slavery our ancestors and this land faced I don't think any of today's generation would do.
Who would work like machines for others and yet get nothing but pejorative language.
In fact bribery and corruption are a few things this land still allows on itself in spite of the fact that these are her own kids betraying her.

What is the fifteenth of August for this generation?
Merely a holiday?
Nobody realizes what did this day costs.
Our nation breathed freedom. Freedom from the British. From slavery. From death and from insults.
Patriotism isn't just a quality of being patriotic. It’s an emotional attachment. The kind of attachment a child has from his mother.
There is a reason why this country is referred as mother India.
India is referred to as the mother goddess. Durga Maa, they say.
Yet, this country is cheated on and played with. Why is it that no one understands the importance of this land rather than getting greedy for power and money? The amount of politics we see. The corruption and tax frauds and crime scenes.
This country, despite of so many rules and regulations, it’s filled with murderers and rapists and thieves.
There is no limit of these criminals. Selling girls to earn money. Killing people who they think are not their friends. There are a few things India is known for. Let’s say girl child killing is one of them.

But when we look back, those brave slavery days, the struggles they faced so that their future could be better, our future could be better. There are numerous occasions this country, my country, our country, gave us, to raise our heads high with shining bright eyes and sense of pride in our voices and say "Indian".

Let's just make this day about not only remembering them with pride but also executing their dream about the undivided India.
Let's just keep the beauty of states and cities but exclude all the discriminating policies and make it Our India. 💖
